Ambiance Volumizing Dry Shampoo

I am so excited that I was asked to review Ambiance Volumizing Dry Shampoo. You may already know that I love dirty hair, but you may also know that I can smell a dirty head from a mile away....
But this! This smells so clean AND fresh!
I have tried a number of other dry shampoos and they were all super messy, heavy and usually didn't feel like it did anything.

My gorgeous sister couldn't wait to try it! She applied it through the front and top of her hair where she is naturally a little more oily and the powder almost sucked up all the oils, leaving her hair looking fresh and voluminous.

This product is also 100% Natural and there is no need for water! YAY!
It comes in Gray, Blonde,Brunette,Black and Red- so EVERYONE can use it!
It is applied with its soft applicator brush and it blends softly and not cakey or chalky in the hair.
It is also fits perfectly in your purse!

You can purchase your very own dry shampoo here!

 Love

For the past couple days, I have had the priviledge to be using the HANAair Professional blowdryer
I have been amazed at how incredibly comfortable the blowdryer is in my hand and how insanely fast I am able to dry my entire head!
Usually it takes at least 15-20 minutes to dry my hair, but this took half the time.
I gave myself a round brush hardset the other day to really test this baby out and
I never believe that a blowdryer itself can actually make my hair shiny and smooth- But this dryer did! My hair looked Hot.
I'm so vain.
I love the Italian design and the force behind the hot and cold shot. I could have stood across the room and dried my hair! (kidding of course)

After using a few different curling irons, blowdryers, flatirons and products.
I am becoming more and more of a junkie.

Thank you Misikko for feeding my very addicting habit.

Wet to Dry Flat Iron Review

NuME WET&DRY Flat iron
Yes.
You read correctly.
A Wet TO Dry Flat IRON.
Let me translate...
A flat iron that YOU can use on WET hair that not only straightens it, but also DRIES it!!

Say Whaaaaaat!?
That's exactly what I said!
I immediately thought that this was going to fry my hair right off my head!
I was so skeptical, I just had to try this.

Let me just start off by telling you that this flat iron excites me so much I could scream!
I am just imagining all my curly clients spending a whole lot less time in my chair.
There is no need to do a complete blow out!
I can rough dry, add a heat protectant creme, section off and use the flat iron and VOILA!

Done and Done!

Here is how it went for me.
I have naturally stick straight hair as it is, but I do have my fair share of fly aways, and lots of previous color services. I was worried that my hair would be crispy after using this on my wet hair.

After applying my favorite heat protectant, I towel dried my hair as recommended.

Then, I sectioned out the top from the bottom,
making it easier to get through with my comb and flat iron.
Starting from the scalp sliding it through to the ends, section by section using a comb instead of my fingers. This hair gets HOT.HOT.HOT!
And not only flat but DRY!
Awesome.
Finished.
 In no time!
Seriously this probably took me 10 minutes!

Instead of having to spend a whole 15-20 on drying it and then flat ironing, I did it all in one shot.

My hair didn't feel crunchy OR crispy.
It was super smooth and ultra soft.

I am in LOVE!

I cannot wait to bring this to work with me!

This one is for My Curly Sue.

I Love me a head of big curly hair. In fact, my husband once told me that he notices a woman with curly hair before he notices a woman with straight hair. (By the way, I have stick straight hair. :)

Ouidad’s Rake & Shake method has made curly hair look SO incredibly easy to have!

Check out these styling tips!

-Ouidad’s Rake & Shake method is all about embracing the hair’s natural curl pattern. The key to creating beautiful curls is to create the curl pattern while damp and letting curls dry the way they were meant to, either naturally or with a diffuser. You are working with the natural curl pattern, not against it, which is what “scrunching,” blow drying or curlers can do.

-When blotting out moisture in step 1, be sure not to rub hair briskly or flip over. Both methods fragment curls and cause frizz.

-If you are looking to add height or volume, place Duckbill Clips at the root of the hair. Position clips to lift the hair evenly across the crown, working from front to back. To properly position curls, open clip no more than an inch wide. Gently slide along scalp and keep clip close to the roots.

-To break up any crunchy or stiff sections, rub a bit of Clear Control Pomade or Shine Glaze between your palms and in one motion smooth your hands over your hair from front to back as if you're creating a ponytail.

- Keep curls in place with an all over spritzing of Styling Mist.

-The Rake & Shake method isn’t just for long hairstyles, the method can be used on hair as little as two inches. If your hair is shorter than two inches, Ouidad suggests running styling product through the hair and positioning the curls and waves.

* I LOVE the Before and Afters!

Check out this Rake and Shake Tutorial

I am wishing badly that I had curly hair. Not only for my husbands case,But also for mine.
 (sigh)
You always want what you can't have.

I cannot wait to try this product out on my Curly Q.clients!

Shielo Hydrate Product Review

This past weekend I had the opportunity to try out a new product line, called Shielo
I absolutely LOVE trying out new products. Being a hairstylist gives me maybe a higher expectation when I try new things, which can and can't be great when doing reviews.

I was given the option of Color, Hydrate or Volumizing shampoo and conditioner.

In the past 6 months, my hair has been ombre'd,tinted darker, then bleach washed lighter, this being said- I need something moisurizing and repairative( if possible) to protect my hair and keep it healthy.

I tried the Hydrating line.

The Shampoo and Conditioner smell LOVELY.
I mean, Delicious. You could eat it up!

I loved that the product is produced in the states. I also love that  Shielo doesn't pack their product with synthetic pesticides or chemicals, I know my hair is in good hands with this knowledge.

When I first washed my hair with the shampoo I couldn't get over how bubbly it was, wierd right? Of all the things to notice! It was incredibly Suds-y!
Once I rinsed, I thought. 'Uh-oh'. I thought my hair felt a little too clean, which can lead to sometimes tangly and terrible dry feeling hair.
((believe it or not))

But after leaving the Hydrate Vibrancy Conditioner for a couple of minutes (as suggested)
 I was so pleased!
My hair felt like BUTTER. I mean, my hair really did feel conditioned. I was able to comb through it easily (even after previous color jobs and damaged ends)

My hair felt really good.
I was able to round brush it, curl it and set it and it looked great the whole day.

Overall, I liked this product. I am grateful to have been able to try it out.

My only complaint is that I wish the Shampoo was as moisturizing as the conditioner.
I am interested in trying out their other products!
